Last week I won a auction of a Rs.5 note signed by C.D.Deshmukh and paid the seller 2.37lakh using paisapay.
Now the seller shipped the note via dtdc and it got delivered yesterday.
Now after receiving the note I found that the note is a replica of the original note. But the auction description doesn't have written its a replica/fake note.
Before paying I called the seller and he said that the note is original and he had that for 17yrs.
As the item was fake,so I opened a case as "Item not as described".
Any original note always have the watermark on the white area of the note. But the note doesn't have that.A few experts also mentioned that the note is fake as it does have a few other criteria.
Now as I opened the case at the resolution center the seller replied:
"How do we know that its a fake or replica note ?, and more over we also bought through e-bay only but
few years back. Now one of my friend gave us another note so we wanted to sell this old note. otherwise
no necessity for us to sell the note at all.
If you don't require this note you can go ahead and
sell this again in e-bay only."
"We have sent the note as per the
scanned copy of my Bidding details. I am not
accepting your comments. What is the guarantee
that you are going to send our note only.."
What should I do?
Please help as I think I got scammed.
