Global easy pay

Hi guys,
I was looking for product but could not found it in India so when i looked at global easy pay that product was there . so i am asking if product cost is 15000 which ebay say include all tax like custom duty. I just wanted to know has any body brought using global easy pay and did he got product at same price as it was mentioned on website .

Hi Rahul,

How are you? I head the Global EasyBuy business at eBay India and thought I'd pitch in.

a. Prices that you see on eBay Global EasyBuy are inclusive of shipping & customs. In almost all cases, the price you see on GEB is the total price you pay for receiving the product at your doorstep.

b. The only exception to the above is where Octroi taxes are charged by particular cities in India. Since these vary by city and there is no way for us to account for this in the GEB price, we leave it to the buyer to make that payment when he/she receives the product

I notice that on searching for same item on different days on GEB, price could change. Is this due to fluctuations in exchange rates?

Also, Sushant, 10% discount voucher is too less for GEB. Why not increase it to 20%

Hey mnongkhlaw1665,

The price for the same US Item can change on GEB due to a variety of reasons including:

a. As you mentioned, fluctuation in exchange rates
b. The US Seller revising the price of his listing
c. Free Shipping Promos on GEB - when these happen, we change the values at the back-end to ensure no shipping charges are included in the price and you might see that the price of the Item on GEB has come down significantly. Once the promo ends, we revert to the old values and the price goes back to what it was originally.

And yea, some might say 20% is also too less 😉

We randomly give out coupons of varying value to different set of buyers and we keep changing them frequently to keep it exciting. Not only that, we also run some very interesting promos (like the Free Shipping one live on site currently) to bring you some truly irrestible offers.

We have a lot more of these planned so keep coming back to GEB!

I got some stuff thru GEB at listed price. Better than 20 North. There, they list the custom duty, shipping separately. You might have to pay Octroi, though. I suggest you watch the price of GEB items daily, see previous posts to know why. Good luck!

We used to get offers from eBay partners, although these are usually local, not under GEB. There are some companies selling stuff online, but only in US$. Can we suggest them to get in touch with eBay India and enroll themselves under GEB as a partner? Is there any such mechanism for doing so?

Also, I feel the interface for GEB should be improved. For example, there is no way of arranging the search results in order of Lowest Price. There is no "Watch this item" link in GEB and there is no "Save this search" facility in GEB. All these are available in the regular eBay.in, however. What's the issue here?

Hey mnongkhlaw1665,

We currently have an appointed reseller as the partner under GEB. We haven't actively evaluated the possibility of having multiple partners but if and when we do so, will let you know.

Agree with you on the limited functionality on GEB. We have been working on enhancing usability of the site over the past couple of months and will be releasing these enhancements over the next couple of weeks (incl. price sorting)! Do take a look when these features go live and provide us your feedback.
