Appeal: Fraud sellers on ebay

Hi

I recently won a bid for a cell on ebay (320062584549).
I transfered the winning amount to the seller via ICICI online fund transfer facility.

This seller turned out to be a fraud and now no longer a registered user. The contact number ebay has of him is also not a valid number (I don't know why ebay is so careless to even verify for such basic information).

On top of that ebay customer care very conveniently said that "we do not take action on an eBay member's
behalf, nor do we directly intervene in disputes between eBay users".

I have lost all my faith on ebay and will discourage all of you guys to either refrain or atleast to be very cautious with ebay.

If anybody of you has face the same problem please post it here.

Hi,

I suppose you hadn't gone through the User Agreement properly before registering on eBay.

Please go through it, specially Clause 6.
I am sure you wouldn't have made a mistake then!
