All of us who are selling ebooks can help each other to by sharing tips and ideas.

Let me go ahead and share a fact:

If you are selling ebooks then it means that you do not have to physically ship a product , this way you can deliver the product very fast to the buyer thus the buyer has a great ebay experience.

I would encourage all to share tips and also discuss any challenge that ebook sellers are facing so that we can help each other.

Hi all friends,
Our discussion is taking interesting momentum. One common problem is many buyers don't understand the meaning of ebooks they consider it as a physical books in spite of clearly mentioning on item description page, hence it turns into Unpaid Items.

So I will suggest that we should make a common page some where on ebay to clearly describe about ebooks and link to our description pages. Please give your comments. Thanks

Here is the solution for the different e mail account setting problem:Write a message to your buyers on your sales page-Please check your settings as SPAM filters might treat my mail as SPAM.To avoid this kindly do the following:

For AOL users

Open your AOL e-mail account
Click "Address Book"
Click "Add Contact"
Create a contact listing for your (email ID here)with the primary e-mail address your (ID again)

For Hotmail users

Open your Hotmail e-mail account
Click "Contacts"
In the left-hand menu, click "Safe List"
Enter (youremail ID) and click "Add"

For Yahoo! users

Open your Yahoo! e-mail account
Click "Mail," and select "Options"
Click "Filters"
Click "Add"
Click in the text box in the top row ("From header") and enter (email ID)
In the pull-down menu for "Move the message to," choose "Inbox"
Click "Add Filter"


In the Gmail mail box,
click on the
settings link on the top right...then...in the
settings options, click on FORWARDIN AND POP...
after that..
under the forwarding section, select "Forward a copy of incoming mail to..." and then enter the email address..that's it

Since I've personally used their services I know their service is good.You see I was a webdesigner.Their pricing is very reasonable especially for the small businesses.They provide several auto responders too.The basic package is I think Rs.1500/year.

I wdnt recomend net4india to anyone..
their servers are too slow and sites take very long to open from them.

Their customer is so naive that they give admin password on the phone. I was suprised when my admin passsword was given on the phone without any secrurity checks.

Well I have a solution for webhost which is less than Rs.100 per month which is http://www.oxyura.com

try it & see its worth it.

I used their services till 2 years back.Mine was a flash site which is heavier than other normal sites.The downloading time was very less.I'm surprised by the experience because I got excellent service from them.Maybe their quality has deterioted over the period of time.
You see my comments were based on my expereince of dealing with them for 3 years.The proffession I'm in I can't afford a downtime of a single day and I never had anything to complain about.

I've not recently checked them so maybe you're right on that score.

Hi all ebook seller friends,
LET'S TALK ABOUT UNREASONABLE NEGATIVE FEEDBACKS.
I think the most crucial problem with ebook sellers is that many buyers do not understand the ebook concept and wait to arrive ebook through courier and if they don't get the courier they think the seller has not sent the item and some 'innocent' buyers leave the negative feedback without even contacting the seller.
It happened with me and I am sure with many other sellers.
I have opened a new Topic on this problem. Title " Are you victim of unjustifiable negative feedback"
It is getting good responses. You all are requested to share your bad experiences and give suggestions to ebay staff to solve this crucial problem.

Hi Anil,

I think what all ebook sellers should do is that mention it clearly that its a ebook in the description of the item.

This way the chance of misunderstanding are less.
