PUBLIC DOMAIN BOOK LISTINGS WERE ENDED. WHY ??

Dear Ebay,

It apolls me to to know how you yourself discard and disrespect your own set of Guidelines and rules and terms and conditions.

Yours is a (Seemingly!) big Organisation and such unprofessional and immature behaviour is totally Unexpected from you.

How Opressors accuse the Victims of Oppression is simply ridiculous.

My Listings were ended citing many reasons as the violation of Ebay Policies.

I am Listing the quoted reasons below for your regerence and How my Listing never violated These policies. I think your staff needs a little more Understanding and tutorials in International Copyright Laws.


Downloadable Media Policy::
"Here are examples of items that may not be listed on eBay because of the downloadable media policy:

a copy of a software program which the successful high bidder can download from your web site
music or video files that you will deliver through a peer to peer file-sharing community or network
a copy of a downloadable eBook
a secret URL address where the high bidder can download "freeware" or "shareware" software programs
Exception

Sellers may list items that would otherwise violate this policy where:

the seller is the copyright owner, or
the underlying material is in the public domain
eBay Guideline:

If you are the copyright owner of the downloadable material that you are listing on eBay, make sure you say so in your listing! "



Do you not read this and Understand this??

Every Ebook Listing that I have put is in the public domain one way or the other.... Im not Guessing, I have Confirmed this from Lawyers and then Only I have listed them. If you Do not Understand the term Public Domain I would be Happy to Give you a lesson in Copyright Laws and The Items that Come Under Public Domain.

And That Inspite of My mentioning It in my Listing.
Moreover Ebooks are selling at all the Ebay Sites world wide. What MAkes Ebay India such a exceptional Prude?

I can not even understand your prudery Over a Book about the Psychology Of Love. You People call it for Mature Audiences?? Please come out of the caves you are living in. Its not sexual in anyway. The book is called How to make anyone fall in love with you. what's ADULT about it??

You cannot expect to Masquerade around as Ebay and have policies and prActices which are drastically different from The rest of your Ebay Sites.And Have a policy In terms and Conditions and Gravely Ignore the Exceptions that you yourself quote In the policies.

I did not Violate your policies and still my listings were ended I deserve an explanation.

One of my friends account is blocked/suspended by eBay India without giving them a chance to rectify the violation (which incidentally was made in error - we all make mistakes). Now eBay India wants my friend to send a copy of the passport and a copy of the driving licence. How IDIOTIC & STUPID of eBay India to presume that just because people are using a computer in India & eBay.in site to buy & sell - they would all have A PASSPORT OR A DRIVING LICENCE. Which stupid person sitting in his/her plush office has thought about this RIDICULOUS REQUIREMENT?

All the support staff can do is send out standardised eBay India responses without resolving any issues. My friend cannot even access the community forums to raise these concerns. COME ON EBAY INDIA - WAKE UP OR YOU'LL LOSE YOUR $50 MILLION DOLLAR PURCHASE OF BAAZEE.COM so all these various issues can be discussed OPENLY by everyone.

There is no reason to assume that adolfh_1t and all other sellers who complain in their postings about eBay removing listings were not able to find the help-link on the top of each eBay page.

Therefore, if they write postings in the eBay forums, I would think it is to inform other users about this problem, discuss this issue in public and get some official answer from eBay about the way eBay.in handles the eBay policies.

This _is_ a very important question for all users. I am sure that a real answer from eBay would be very interesting for many users.

But Hey! who am I??
How Do I matter To them?

And On top Of That I got a suspension Warning If I list anymore similar Items.

I wonder When they will become more OpenMinded Like other Ebay sites.

I have reviewed both your account, and the items that you listed that
were ended for being in violation of eBay policies. I would like you to
be aware that it is currently against the policies of the eBay.in site
to list any ebooks. I realize that you are able to list ebooks on other
eBay sites, but it has been decided that ebooks are not permitted on the
India site while we review the policies.

In regards to the "HOW TO MAKE ANYONE FALL IN LOVE WITH YOU :Ebook", it
has also been decided that anything that explicitly relates to, or
refers to, sex, is not permitted on the eBay.in site. I realize that
this may be a little more stringent than the other eBay sites, but it
has been decided that this is how the Mature Audiences policy will be
interpreted while we review the policy.

If you have any concerns regarding an item that you are considering
listing on the eBay.in site, please contact us with the details of the
listing before you post in on the site. That way we can review the
listing for any potential violations before it is on the site.

wow....

so there _are_ other policies applying specifically to indian sellers?!

in this case, this should at least be very clearly pointed out in the official information text about the ebay policies, where everybody could read it (and where everybody looks at before offering items on ebay).

"I realize" that this wouldnt let eBay.in look very good. but to write/speak about "violation" if in reality, the official all-eBay-policies are overinterpreted or rewritten inofficially for indian sellers doesnt look very nice either.
