Don't you think it will be better if ebay starts pickup & delivery system for the items which are sold through ebay ?

this way there will be no item loss during Transportation.

Shipping charges to be decided by ebay india and to be charged by itself.

There will be no complaints of Delay Delivery.

there will be no complaints regarding excess shipping charges.


Mr. Indraneel , please tell us if it is possible ?

ebay should take this seriously.

Yes! I think eBay should tie up with some good courier companies and set up a system so that we can ship at a very low price.

I have heard that eBay USA has started a special scheme in which buyer may first ship all his inventory (products) in bulk to eBay's warehouse, then list those items online. So, whenever an item gets sold, eBay ships it directly from its warehouse via their official courier to the buyer.

Here in India we can tie up with Blue Dart, as they are the best. But I think DTDC will be a little cheaper than Blue Dart.

This can be done from eBay. There are already some popular e-commerce sites offering logistics through TNT and FirstFlight Couriers. ---------------

Hi Friends!

I have got an idea! Let's say for example, eBay ties up with a courier co.

Now, when we get an order from a buyer, normally we pack the item and write the address by pen. But, this time eBay will send a pdf file by email which we need to download, print and stick it on the product box.

This page will have everything what a courier co. requires. It will have the necessary information about the buyer and sender address, product category, weight, dimension, etc.

One more thing it will have is a code number and a bar coding for the use of the courier co.

When we take this box to courier outlet, they will just scan the bar coding with a code reading device. This type of devices are very popular in shopping malls.

After the scanning is done they will accept the box and give us a receipt, free of cost. Because eBay will pay them an yearly fee to get this unlimited service.

Thus, sellers will no more have problems with the high courier charges.

But one more thing is that we need to find a courier co. which has the largest no. or outlets in order to maximize the benefit to everyone.

What do you guys say about this?

Hello,
No courier company will be interested in Himalayan regions and the southern back waters.Also courier does not work in Phippines and Peru or any Island countries of the West Indies.Also international shipping they cant handle cheaply.
Shipping and packing is a big headache.Ebay will just go mad.
