The statement is absolutely 100% correct. This FVF is applicable in imitation jewellry where margin is very high. I real gold jewellery we always face this question, why the price is so high. A seller has to add at least 10% extra to cover the Ebay expenses which is highly impractical. Normally in big show-rooms, Gold Jewelleries are sold with a marging of 7-8% on manufacturing cost.

This is the main reason Good genuine sellers cannot sustain in Ebay. The FVF is real gold and real diamond jewelleries should be 2%.

I have given this suggestion to our Account Manager so many times.

I started selling here with jewelry.
Profit margin was very low.
Buyers mostly ignorant,but pretend to know all.
Risky low profit job.

Hello,

Yes we all Real Gold and Diamond jewellery sellers should take a step and make eBay realise that it is actually too high and it should be reduced. As in real gold and diamond items the buyer then prefers dealing outside eBay as it gives him a lot of benefit. So if the fees are reduced there wont be anyone who will deal outside eBay.
