ANy idea on import duties

can anyone tell me what would be the import duty i would have to pay for importing mobile phones.

I am particularly interested in knowing about Mobile Accessories (like handsfree , charger)

Hi,
There is a 40% duty on Mobile Phones. But there seems no duty on mobile accessories, but they may charge you under other heads. If it is a one off item for personal use you may get through it without paying any tax.

Hi Tecniq !

Imports in India is not a Kids Play !

Because the Custom Tax, Octroi additionally sourcing in the International Market is way difficult !

There are few Importers in Delhi who Import 30k - 40k phone every month.

So it would be almost impossible in getting a good price than them.

If I only send 1 phone in 1 small packet and declare as a gift and send to India. Will have any problems?? Anyone can tell?
