Hy everyone, I have a little doubt that's been an obstacle to buy a camera I'm watching (canon xl1).
I'm from Argentina, my sister is in New York for a month and I wanted to buy this camera and ship it to her so she can bring it to me when she comes back. the question is the following.
in the airport.. would they charge me duty taxes for the camera, being this a used object for personal use ? ( also this model is out of production now )
and if they do does anyone now the surcharge percentage? 10% 50% ?
those two things basically are complicating things and I can't find information . so I would be very gratefull if someone can solve this doubt .
