threatening for positive feedback

One Ebay seller eager to assure positive feedbacks has posted this condition under the products he sells;

Feedback will be left for those who leave us feedback and pay promptly. As soon as you leave positive feedback, you will receive positive feedback soonest possible. We are open for all communication regarding your purchase ….please contact us before leaving your negative feedback to solve any issue at our end …..a negative feedback will be exchanged by a negative feedback & we will try our level best to get compensation from you for this act.


Is it not unfair practice? Will Ebay control this kind of unfair practice?

Y do u feel it to be unfair???
When seller has clearly stated that any problm with the purchase must be communicated first, so how it can be unfair??
Seller is ready to solve any problem to buyer and this is very natural in our real life also that some time mistakes occurs even after full precaution .
Sellers only goodwill is his FB score he earns here on ebay. Without communicating , leaving a neg is unfair to the seller.

The remaining text is actually a positive assurance to buyers that the seller is open for communication and resolve buyer grievances ...

Actually looking from a sellers angle ... his reputation and trading ability solely lies in his feedback and it is indeed natural for a seller to try and safeguard his reputation And at times we sellers do go overboard to avoid negatives :)... its natural

Just recently a seller on USA Ebay sued a buyer for leaving neutral feedback .
Though the case was dismissed ... the buyer did have to spend on lawyer fees to contest his case 🙂

There will be going to be a lot of changes soon in the feedback system. Sellers will not be able to leave negative for buyers.

If you have any queries / problems regarding the product, contact me before leaving the feedback.


That assures the buyer and doesn't get miscommunicated... ---------------
