why V hv to recover data outside from a newly purchased HD on ebay? why you gave defective piece?

Hi,

We purchased a Seagate HD 1 TB on ebay just 15 days back. We secured some files in it. Suddenly we are not able to see the data in HD. lap not able to recognise it or read it. We approched Chennai Seagate customer office and they said it is a deffective piece.

It will replaced by 2 weeks of time but to recover the data"s we need to approach outside source by spending more money.

Why? Why we should spend more on this? then what is the quality of seagat. why we need to purchase from seagate thinking that it is a better quality?

We need the replacement HD back ASAP as we purchased it only to use in a class which going to start by 28th July. So Seagate is sole responsible for data recovery & replacement. 

If not we will approach consumer forum. help us as fast as you can.

Dear sir,

As per your message, you need to wait till the product get replaced by segate

In this situation, you cannot file a plea in Consumer court, Cox segate agreed to replace the item to you..

If the replacement is still pending for a long time, then you have the right to contact the consumer court
