federal bank debit card

i have a federal bank account and deposit money into it !!! they have issued me a atm card from which i withdraw money. could i use this card to shop on ebay online through paisa pay. another doubt my friend has an hdfc account but he lost his debit card is it possible to buy from ebay through online banking ??? what does he need to do ????

you can clarify with federal bank whether your card is ATM card or ATM-cum-Debit card. In case it is the latter, you can use it here.

For HDFC, ask your friend to mark the previous card as lost ASAP and then ask for a replacement card. HDFC will charge him about a 100/= fee for that. After that, he'll have to activate the card by withdrawing from an ATM. THen he can use it online. (Ask him to inquire about the Netsafe facility also. can i use Atm card of unoin bank of india which has VISA imprint on it .
