I've noticed recently that some of sellers are mentioning abot a Form 50 for shipping their goods to WB. I'm from WB and I've been buying stuff from eBay for about 5 years now... ranging from DVDs to Treadmills etc. In all those cases, the seller didn't mention about any Form 50 and the items reached me without a hitch.
Funny thing is, when I'm looking for a particular product, one seller would require me to provide him the Form 50 and another seller wouldn't require it and can ship the item without that form.
I went to WB sales tax website and form there I get the idea that the Form 50 is required only if you are a DEALER in WestBengal. It is not required for individual customers. But still some courier companies insist for it.
Can anybody please clarify whether I, as a individual customer, require Form 50 for sellers to ship the item to me?
