We will start with all questions that have been asked earlier and would want to present you with them.

International Shipping Methods

Today’s new global economy is constantly evolving and moving in new directions. That’s why we are constantly looking at solutions to make our job easier. Using innovative technology and web-power UPS lets you conduct business in new ways.

Different countries have multiple requirements as far as processing and facilitating customs clearance of international shipments. One has to be aware of the intricacies invloved in terms of documentation and packaging requirements so that there are no delays involved. It is here that express companies like ours have a major role to play as they have the capability and expertise to provide services at both ends, the origin as well as destination for seamless flow of your shipments.

Therefore it is necessary to certain things right, especially the origin requirements, where most of the documentation is sought, which eventually has a bearing on the smooth release of an international package from customs and eventual delivery to the receiver at destination.

Typically, the ‘sender’ is called a ‘Shipper’ or ‘Consignor’ and the receiver at the other end ‘Consignee’. For regulatory agencies like the customs, the shipper is also termed as an ‘Exporter’.

The Shipper can be any person or firm who has a requirement to send or dispatch any package or parcel to another person or firm ( consignee) in another country. However one needs to begin some where by asking some questions.

1. How should one sell internationally? in the name of company or in personal name. Is it necessary to follow complete export procedure even if one is casually for example stamps, or any personal items and collectibles or just to make some extra money?

A. One can sell internationally either in one’s name or in the name of the company. However, one requires an IEC number to carry out exports. There are exemptions in certain cases, but these would normally not apply for any export wherein some’ consideration’ or ‘transaction in terms of foreign currency/money’ is involved.

Hello ppjewellers

Yes, we have restrictions accepting gems and jewellery shipments in our network. However we can do so if one can limit the value of goods to USD 500 /- per package.

However, diamonds and gold in their pure form are not allowed on our network.
