most of the places in north east, Bengal, orrissa, and south india Ebay refuse to ship...

Hi TEam,

When most of the places in the regions mentioned above are not serviced by you, the courier charges to these are invariably high, how is Ebay safeguarding our interests as sellers in these cases?

My suggestion is to change the order booking method, for all the places where you offer powership, please accept the orders straight away because these will be easily shipped under the given cost structure.

But for the places where powership is not helping us, and we have to send the courier through our own means, EBAY SHOULD NOT AUTOMATICALLY ACCEPT THE ORDER rather they should always ask the seller to share the invoice after checking with the courier company or post office.

Because even today, I had to ship at item that was over a kilogram at a hefty proce of Rs. 185/- where as I am charging only Rs. 60/- for shipping.

Go to this link - http://orders.ebay.in/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MyPaisaPaySellerPreference&currentpage=STATE_EXCLUSION

and checkmark all the states that you don't want to ship to (or) don't want non-powership orders and click on save.

If you choose ALL the states, you will only get Powership orders and buyers under non-serviceable pin code will get an error like "seller doesn't ship to your location". If those buyers contact you, you can decide whether to ship or not.
