Is ebay taking VAT or GST number now

Hi Im a seller on ebay.in and wanted to knw wht will happen to ebay after the GST or VAT will get compulsory..

Wil ebay also start taking VAT or GST number.. Or will our selling account be closed..

We also want to know what if we are not a regular seller but we sell some of our used goods and accessories occasionally? Is that gst will be compulsory if we want to sell my own used mobile or laptop on eBay?

As always Ebay doesn't reply EVER!!!!

To sell on Ebay India post July 1, 2017 you need to have GST number. Its easy for people who are already having VAT to apply for GST. However those who don't have it you can't apply for GST before July 1 and therefore your account will be temporarily suspended till the period you provide GST. Even for selling used items you must have GST.

ebay india call center guy told me that old days gone , now u can sell on ebay if and only if u have given gst no to ebay. this info i got from him on 10july 2017

ebay have removed all listing whose gst no is not uploaded in system . call center guy told final settlement remmitance will be send to non get sellers on 25july 2017 .
