Ebay will definitely be back. Whats happening today is fallout of cancellation of agreement between Flipkart and ebay. Since Flipkart can't use ebay brand anymore, it has decided to shut it down and start its own venture. However as far as million of users are concerned, Flipkart has made it clear that they will be migrated to its new website. So the problem for ebay would be that it will have to start from scratch. And I fear that it would take at least couple of years before new ebay could gain traction.

Ebay INDIA should come back. They ought to think about INDIAN seller who were depends on ebay INDIA too.

eBay will never be back in the same business, if at all ebay comes back which is very very unlikely, it will be only for cross-border trade and that also has almost stopped because of GST export rules and moreover if they want to come back then why did they sell in the first place, the main reason being the business generated by eBay.in was not contributing much to the eBay US business hence they decided to leave India, the same thing happened in China where the local brands did not allow eBay.cn to survive and they had to leave China too and now it is India's turn.

Better is to start now and make your own website and sell, I was on ebay for 17 years but since last 3yrs I have my own website www(dot)stopandshop(dot)in and business is very good and no headaches at all.
