ebay is the worst online portal for shopping , they have worst tie ups and generally they send faulty products to thier customer . I prurchased a Phone from them Micromax c115 , They send me faulty product and when i raised the compliant they rejected my claim by saying product comes under manufacturer warranty . After purchasing a product should i need to visit customer service centre on the second day . worst part is that service centre guy was unable to give us time line when they will give us the product . They were so rude and unprofessional that i cant tell you . So i request all of you not to visit and purchase any product from ebay .
After all this incidents i gave a call to ebay to look in to the matter , but they were so unprofessional first witha complaint id 229340 they said somebody will revert back to you in 24 hours and they gave me reference number 1- 10935248534 but no body turns up then again i called them up they said with 6 hours somebody will call me but i didnt receive the call and again i call them up they said within one hours somebody will turn up but result was same .
worst part was when i again call them up they said there is no escalation in the system so they have to again raise the complain and they gave me reference number 1-11037033446 and but result is same . I asked them to put me to the Sr. Team member they said no Sr. team member is available in the office . I am shocked .
So its my humble request i dont want any of us to fall in trap of ebay , i have already registered a complaint against them in consumer court . Please beware and dont shop with ebay ,Most poorest online shopping portal .

Dear Mr. Kapil,
I'm sorry that you had a bad experience with online shopping.
I'm one of the sellers (& also a buyer) at ebay, and I would say that it is not the problem of ebay nor of the seller on ebay. Bay puts strict conditions on sellers, so that seller sells only authentic and same products as in the product description, with time line. If some seller is found guilty, usually from complaints from buyers, the seller may be removed or some restrictions might be applied on his selling. As a seller, I can say that any seller would always want to sell good things so that more buyers are happy and buy from the same seller.
In case of products with Manufacturer warranty (most of electronics like mobile, memory card), usually sold in sealed packs as received from the manufacturer, it is impossible for the seller to know if the product inside is in perfect condition or defective. In case you are unlucky and received a product with manufacturing defects, it becomes the responsibility of the manufacturer to provide proper servicing in time. Usually the manufacturer may have limited service centres or have conditions like reporting of problem within 7 days from billing. These terms including the manufacturer’s practical problems increase the burden of the buyer. I guess in the era of online shopping, where buyers can be in any part of the country, the manufactures should make servicing conditions easier, like accepting the product for servicing or replacement directly from the buyer, from any part of the country, so that all kind of buyers (both online & offline) buyers get help immediately, without the need of sending the product for replacement through the same online seller or outlet.
I also experienced this problem recently, which took almost 2 months to solve the problem, as the manufacturer (service centre) wanted to re-route the product for replacement through the same seller (online), which was hectic for both me (from Rajasthan) and the seller (from Bangalore), as we are from distant states, also the service centre was in a different place.
Hope your problem will be solved soon. Happy buying.

Hi Kapil,
I'm one of the general seller on eBay. I understand how disappointing it is when you excitingly wait for a new phone to come and when it's delivered to you, it's dead or malfunctioning. But allow me a moment to express my individual point of view on your review.
There doesn't exist any online store than can gaurantee you the delivery time. They always use the term Estimated Delivery Time. This is because there exist backend sellers like us who sell their products on eBay or be it any other online store and once you place an order, we're given 3-5 days to ship and no one can gaurantee how much time a carrier such as Blue Dart ( One of the fastest Courier Service Provider ) can take because there always exist exceptions and that's the reason I THINK Customer Care Executives are not allowed to COMMIT any Delivery Time Frame.
Point of Fact is that they don't know
1. When the Seller would ship the Product.
2. Which Carrier would Seller Use?
3. What kind of carrier service would seller use? and,
4. How much time that carrier would take?
I know it's indeed digusting to visit the service centre for a product you just bought but this is an unfortunate instance. If you purchase a product from any local or branded shop out there, once the product is billed or unsealed, it's all yours. The Shop Owner or Seller will only be responsible for Warranty in case he has mentioned or offered the Warranty himself. In this scenario the warranty was offered by Manufacturer so we can not held Seller or eBay responsible for not entertaining Warranty Requests.
But this whole thing could be very much cleared on the first call to eBay and I think eBay Customer Care executives should focus on transparency rather than promising 24 hours, 6 hours or 1 hour call back. And of course not all the executives are same. Anyway this answer is based on my selling and buying experience on eBay and I DO NOT represent anyone except me.
