Buyer Refunded by ebay after product delivered, how to collect offline payment

A new seller was placed an order PPID 36176356861 for Rs 42,500 smartphone in a few days after opening a new account on ebay mid-April 2014. The product was delivered and the buyer confirmed delivery and gave 100% feedback.

 

At remittance time, ebay said the buyer did not register the Mumbai address, and buyer was refunded by ebay, ebay mailed me to collect payment from buyer offline. ebay actually held back remittance of Rs 2 lakhs for weeks because of this one order.

 

Buyer says, ebay 'buyer team' has told him on calls and emails (I have one email copy) not to pay seller offline, and that if buyer pays me ebay can next morning charge buyer credit card again. Buyer is willing to pay me, but wants formal communication from ebay to pay Seller. Seller team said  there was an error and will mail buyer to pay seller, 2.5 months have passed and ebay has not mailed buyer. ebay now says they have closed the case and are not obliged and as per policy "cannot communicated with buyer" to pay seller. However, ebay is regularly communication with buyer not to pay Seller.

 

The buyer has been suspended and refunded many orders, so he has the products and payment also, but is willing to pay me provided ebay gives the reason for refund, that can pay seller, and will not forcibly charge his credit card after paying me.

 

Also, buyer applied an 8% ebay coupon and paid only Rs 39,100. Perhaps ebay is fearing the 8% liability on many such orders.

 

I am a new Seller , is this bad beaviour by ebay normal practice?

Why is ebay creating problems for a genuine seller?

Are ebay and ebay buyers colluding to cheat sellers?

ebay should formally inform buyer about his refund instead of creating probelms for buyer and seller.

 

I have spent many days with 3-4 hours each day, on calls with ebay seller support and ebay buyer.

 

ebay is doing double speak, telling the buyer one thing and telling the seller another thing.

 

How can I get my payment?

Hi, I have faced a similar situation as a seller - I have been writing to eBay since March / April 2014, but have not received any response, except promises on phone that someone will contact you. eBay really sucks! A buyer purchased a product from me, gave a Excellent feedback, used the product (iPhone 5s) for two weeks and then damaged it. Loodged a complaint under eBay Gurantee and ebay refunded the amont by deducting from my account without even talking to me. I lost in one transaction, what I made over the year. ebay sucks and they dont really care for the sellers anymore, ebay only wants to make its money and leave geneuine sellers to their fate. If anyone from eBay is modrating this forum, please have the courtsey to respond - The case I am refering to has item id as 221387003374 and the claim Id is  453330, approved by one eBay employee Gauravraje. I opened a counter claim, but the matter has not been escalated, probabily out of the fear of the employee loosing his job.

 

Anyone in ebay listening, please respond!  The Matter is pending since March 2014
