DELAY IN DELIVERY OF item

As a Seller, I dispatched the sold item by India POst Registered Post within the specified time, it is said to be NOT received within the specified delivery period. Buyer has raised a Refund Claim for non-recepit of the item. Knowing the practcal ways of India Post, how can we guaranty that the item will be delivered in the specifie time. WHAT IS THE WAYOUT FOR ME? Even if the item is sent by Speed Post or a high end courier ( Pease keep in mind that no one likely to spend more money on shipping), what is the best way for me to make sure that the item is received by the Buyer is the specified periond.
