the newly started community court is proving useless these days as it cannot reach a decision even when all the proofs are there

it was working fine when it started but now its gone useless
the jury is not intrested in voting which leads to status quo i.e. no removal of feedbacks

it sucks...

sellers plz give your views

community court was a good initiative but now it is not and it is also time consuming rather than community court ebay should increase feedback revision limit or else change the pattern of working of community court working.

Like I said earlier, I think the Community court is a great initiative.

From what I understand of salezmania, the problem is similar to Indian courts...too many petitions...too few judges.

In such a case, reducing the time cycle will not help as anyways not enough votes are being received.

However, perhaps reducing the total number of votes required helps. I don't know the exact numbers, but for an example let's say currently a minimum of 9 votes are required for a decision this can be reduced to 5. So essentially, keep the maximum threshold constant but reduce the minimum threshold.

However, the community court should not be closed.

Well Whats wrong with the community court is simple. We have to accept this fact. eBay says Online shopping works on the belief that " We the People are good ".

This is India. Guys accept this that we are not. Why arent we getting our votes? Why you know? Cause none of our fellow competitors would like to help us improve our ratings. By doing this he will only increase his trouble. He will be happy if one or more seller suffers due to these negatives and at last stop selling and go out of the eBay community. We have to accept this fact. I dont know how many people think like me but I surely think this way. Cause its common sense, eBay is such a site that it is not possible for a seller not to sign in once in a day. Dont know about the buyers from the Jury. And if you sign once a day atleast and still you dont get your required votes. How does this make any sense. If anyone can explain please do. And surely out of the 21 jury members for a case atleast 50% must be Sellers for sure.

Secondly, The time limit of the community court is a killer. It takes around 20 to 30 days to get one negative resolved. So by the time one gets resolved one comes up. And God save him who gets 3-4 at a time. He ll go mad resolving his negatives. Such frustrating is the community Court.

If eBay cares a bit for their sellers they should do something about this Court system. Kindly get us the feedback revision form. That was the Best. if the buyer and seller resolves the matter why is there any need to give entry to any third party.

A famous proverb explains this simply : Jab Ladka Ladki Raazi to Kya karega Qazi. If the buyer and seller is ready why why why voting and all stuff BOSS! Please Explain.

eBAY eBAY eBAY Do Something or I assure you within the next couple of years if some tight competitor comes in the market eBay will just stay in memories.

Hey HomeShop,

If the seller and buyer both agree, the feedback revision form is still there.

The Community Court primarily exists when buyer is not ready to revise feedback. As in, seller believes buyer has left unfair feedback and is now refusing to withdraw it.

The Community Court in my view is a great move forward to end the practice of some buyers who extort sellers through unfair negative feedbacks. We have all seen such cases.

The issue is that enough votes are now not being received. The question I have is that is it compulsory that is there are 21 Jury members all members have to vote?

For example, let's say only 7 votes were received...4 for and 3 against at the end of the cycle. In such a case, will the feedback be withdrawn? If yes, then the system is fine and the only issue is people not judging and that is up to us and that is why it is called a 'community court.' It should be our initiative to go vote and not eBay's the same way as the electoral system.

Well Dear pc_gaming_store,

I know that the feedback revision form is still there but do you think 5 revision forms are enough per year for a seller selling more than 1000 products on eBay at a time. If I receive around 300 positives a month it is liable that it may contain a couple of negatives or more. So whats the total for a year. It still reaches around 14 per year. This is the least one can expect.

Now coming to you second point." The Community Court primarily exists when buyer is not ready to revise feedback. As in, seller believes buyer has left unfair feedback and is now refusing to withdraw it. "

Well Sir, When the buyer is ready to withdraw, our negatives are still there. How can you expect the community court to vote for us when the buyer does not agree to withdraw the negative. I cannot digest this at all. Even if full votes are received in such a case I dont think the result will be in favor of the seller as all eBay & other members have sympathy only towards the buyer. Its always the seller who suffers.

Your 3rd point. For example, let's say only 7 votes were received...4 for and 3 against at the end of the cycle. In such a case, will the feedback be withdrawn?

Well I agree to this system a bit.

eBay can we now expect a reply to this post from some of your executive. Common we have already put on some good points for this. Do reply asap.

Thanks

sellers i am very happy with your reply but will ebay do something to help the sellers cause and i totally agree with homeshop now its in the hand of ebay to do something
due to their policy of being buyer oriented ebay has already lost much of it sellers and now this is not going to help
even if there is negative at once and no feedback revision form the seller gets snp which prohibits him from listing more items
and yes no one is intrested to vote for others as it is said yeh matlabi duniya hai

ebay team plz do something and help the sellers

community court useless

hi all
as per my thought if jury dont vote or decide the case then ebay should this feedback rating to neutral so it dont harm to buyer or seller both---
i think community court is useless where no cases solved in fovour of seller
ebay always think buyer is right, ebay dont want to analyse the real matter
i think best way to solve the problem is to give seller unlimited feedback revision, if buyer and seller both agrees on dispute and if buyer like to revise the feedback then ebay should not have any problem in removing feedback from seller profile
this policy will help the buyer and seller issue to solve their owmn problem and ebay will save their time and money to solve the problems of buyers and seller dispute as ebay should give them chance on every item and feedback to solve the matter by them self
this is the best possible way i can think to keep the buyer and seller community safe
:-D
thanks and best regards to all
ebay--please think on my praposal if u can do the best

I think ebay should allow members of other ebay sites (ebay usa, ebay.co.uk etc) to participate in the jury. I think that could help a lot.
