Should I give negative rating to buyer who backed out after winning the bid

Hi,

A buyer backed out after winning the bid on my item.

He told me that he 'misunderstood' which is BS. I cancelled the transaction in dispute console at his 'suggestion'.

Should I give him negative fedback or just ban him from future bidding and forget this as a bad experience??

I am new to this and want to avoid this kind of nonsense in the future.

Any tips/suggestions will be most welcome.

To maintain your 100% Positive rating do not leave a negative for anyone otherwise in retaliation the buyer or seller will leave a negative for you too thus lowering your percentage.

Just forgive him. I have so many Unpaid Item buyers but I have just left them without leaving feedback and opened UPI dispute and received my FVF Credit thats all.

then what is the point of negative feedback?

A bidder could just bid for fun and then back out.

Ebay needs to improve their system where such kind of birders are dealt with more severely.

They should add an option of banning bidders who have more than 1 dispute filed against them over a period of time.
