Rise In the Price of Various Items After Nov. 1

Hello community members.

Few weeks are left before Paisapay starts their change from 3.5 to 4.5% as their service charges.I guess everyone would be waiting in apprehension to see if the price of different items listed would increase. Increasing the prices would only bring in decrease in the sales of items.

So what do the community sellers have to tell about the price rise? Will there be a price rise? And wishing all the best to the participants in the ebay super seller contest.

Hi,

All most 10% is been charged on the products. Since its quite high, I am increasing 5%-10% on all my listings depending upon the value of the product. ---------------

Dear All,

When there is tough compitition is going on in ONLINE SHOPPING PORTALS OF INDIA...will this much of steep charges work.. NO...i think..ebay shud revise their charges..by doing this they will loose busniess by their own hands...see for selling an item total charges goes up to 10% of the Value ( listing charges+fetures+final Value fee and this PaisaPay)...and if seller adds his least margin of 3-4% then too it wont sell...now when every e-commerce site of INDIA is charging only 5% on the sale..and they are giving many more options for buying..like 6 months emis..ebay is not doing either of the thing..
Sadly to say..even ebay is oldest and most famous e-commerce site..
it is not customer friendly neither it is seller friendly.

My suggestions are..
Make it more customer frindly..
1. Give Easy Payment option like EMIs
2. Give CashBack offers like any ebay voucher
3. Some Customer contest or lucky draw
4. Any promotional item
Make it more seller friendly..
1. Sellers shud be verified strictly...only Geniune sellers ahud be entiteld to sell ..Frauds shud not find place for business here. By this customer's faith will increase.
2. Listing Charges and Final Value fee shud be revised..
3. Paisapay charges shud also be revised.
4. All n all i shud hope that ebay shud charge catogory wise on sell...like if it is Mobile or consumer electronics there shud be lumpsump charges of 3-6% flat(which shud include final Value fee and PaisaPay charges)..by this seller's item will be most compititive amongst the other online sellers available across the e-commerce sites in INDIA.Thus Ebay's sales will shoot up and they can coverup their costings by more volume of sale.
and if it is any other catogory they can charges higher like 10-15% according to the product..
FINALLY I THINK EBAY SHUD RETHINK , REVAMP THIER POLICIES AND SHUD COME OUT TO CHALLANGE THE OTHER E-COMMERCE PORTALS IN INDIA..
AFTERALL THEY HAVE BIGGEST BRAND NAME WITH THEM - EBAY..
THEY SHUD USE IT PROFFESSIONALY..

Hello one and all.

Paisapay has improved a lot from what it was one year back.They have started the customer care service, introduced emi schemes,ebay vouchers,have working hours on sunday,etc.It looks good from their outlook of working,but the time for clearing higher amount transactions should be improved upon.

Due to these factors,they have increased the paisapay service charges.I would be increasing the prices of my items as ebay would eat away almost 1/4th of the money from one transaction.I would offer a discount for those who prefer offline methods of payment like icici bank transfer,DD,etc.It would give a sense of satisfaction for the buyer too as they are protected upto 10,000rs.
