To provide greater value to, you and to recognize your efforts towards making ebay a great shopping destination we are glad to announce The “Business Badshah” contest.

What is The “Business Badshah” contest?

The contest aims at rewarding the sellers who make the extra effort to grow their business. The contest works on a simple ‘achieve the goal and get the reward’ model. The reward will be an incentive calculated on the additional sales generated by the seller.

All eligible sellers will be divided into three groups based on their past record of successful sales. Each group will have a target and incentive percentage assigned to it.

If you’re an eligible seller, you’ll receive your personalised target for the month based on the group you belong to. Your rewards and incentives are:

- Meet the target and get an incentive of 1.5% on the additional sales generated by you for the month.

- Beat the target to reach your next level target, and you’ll be eligible for a higher incentive of 2.5% on the entire additional sales for the month!

In addition to the above, you’ll also have the opportunity to win other exciting prizes during the contest:
- 3 Weekly prizes (1 in each Group) - For Sellers achieving highest %age of sales growth in the week

- 6 Quarterly prizes (2 in each Group) - For Sellers achieving highest %age of successful sales growth in the quarter.

To participate in the contest, all eligible sellers will need to accept the invitation here by 5th April 07. The contest period shall be from 1st April 2007 to 30th June.

Dear snrama,

The targets for the contest are based on successful sales.

Given the fact that we give 45 days to our sellers to complete the transaction including filing disputes for unpaid items, we need almost 2 months to calculate the incentives and post credits for the invoice.

All sellers who meet their targets will be informed by email by the 25th of the next month and will receive credit in their next months invoice.

hence, for the Month of April performance, all eligible sellers will be informed about their credits by 25th June and the credits will feature in their next invoice.

Similarly for the month of May, all eligible sellers will be informed about their credits by 25th July and credits will feature in their next invoice.

Its that time of the contest that all of us have been waiting for. Yes it the time to announce the Incentives for the sellers that have worked hard towards achieving the targets that were set for them at the beginning of the contest.

▪How are the winners selected?
The grand prize winners are selected basis their highest growth in fulfilled sales in Quarter 2 (Apr- June) over their sales in Quarter 1 (Jan to Mar).

▪What period of activity is considered for the contest?
Sellers activity for the period Quarter 1 (Jan to Mar) and Quarter 2 (Apr to June) is considered for the contest.

▪Why are there 3 groups of sellers?
Our intent with this promotion was to give each of our sellers an additional incentive to beat their personal best in terms of sales. For this reason, targets are set individually, taking into account your previous sales activity to determine achievable goals.

▪Why don’t we have the Business Badshah contest in Quarter 3 (Jul to Sept)?
There are a few things we’ve learnt that could be better for the contest. We are reworking on the contest and look forward to launching it once again in the near future.
