Hi,
I am new in selling. I need some information about receiving payment.
I was amazed to see that my highest value gem got sold on 7th Nov. (the only bid was on 5th Nov). But the buyer from Patna is not responding. Found that he has bid over Rs.12000 in two items within 30 mins of getting registered. I think he will not take the gem. My questions are:
Should I have to pay the ebay fees if the deal remains unpaid?
Normally how much time do the buyers take to pay? I have always paid within a day and was hoping everyone to be fast!!
Shall be thankful if someone provides the information.
Regards
Swarup Dutta

Ask the Buyer by phone. This is the best thing to contact him. Some buyers pay by paisapay. Some pay by cheques/Demand drafts.
So wait for 7-10 days for the reply from the buyer. Then if he/she don't reply then report those buyers to ebay.
You need not have to pay to ebay if the buyer doesn't pay!

Also leave a neutral feedback on benifit of doubt. This will not effect the new buyers who are prompt. ---------------

I TRY CONTACTING THE BUYER ON TEL OR EMAIL AND IF HE DOES NOT RESPOND WITHIN 7 DAYS I FILE A FVF AGAIST HIM,I THINK 7 DAYS IS MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR ANY BUYER TO SENT THE PAYMENT.
YOU REALLY DO NOT HAVE TO PAY THE EBAY FEES SO URGENTLY BECAUSE EBAY DOES GIVE TIME TO FILE A FVF AND GETING A REFUND OF FEES.

Hi Atul,
Thanx for your comments. Infact in this case the buyer never responded, even after opening the Dispute. I eventually got the FVF but I think ebay must take stern actions against members who do not respond to Dispute within a stipulated period. Best Regards
