We are seller on ebay specialising in selling Weighing Machines. We have been using markdown manager time to time to offer discounts in festive times and other peak times.
We had an idea of offering free gift to every customer along with every purchase made by them from us on selected items. Instead of just offering a Price discount, we think offering gift is a good option. We tried to contact ebay customer care to find out if there is any such tool which we can use to create any such gift but we were informed that there is no such facility, the only option we have is to Mention it in each listing individually. Which is quite tiresome, and also logistically impossible to remove them again from listing one by one.
We had an idea if we could get a tool which can create gift option just like markdown manager gives us an option to reduce prices in selected listings, in same manner if we can select listings and offer one item (which we can list) as a gift with the purchase of the selected items. I think it would be an excellent and easy way to offer such gifts. And as the (%) sign is visible in the listings with discounts, the same way a gift sign should appear in such listings, and also a link for the listing of the product which will be given as free gift to the buyer.
We would like to know what the other buyers think about this option. We would also like to get ebay to give feedback on the same.
