Policy Violations !!!!!!!

What does it really mean?

It makes sense if there are basic policy to be taken care of such as in respect of legal products, pirated products, vulgarity,or any other serious issues which are very common and easy to understand and which is obeyed by 99% of good sellers without any warnings

But Here there are so many policies made in ebay that I wonder even ebay.in team if you ask them wouldn't be knowing byheart.

It is really ridiculous that for small issues such as why this word is there in your listing and why image of nokia 6660 is in 5560 or why in this soft toy is in everything else category instead of soft toy

See most of us including ebay will understand that we as a genuine seller do not knowingly violate policies as we handle 500+ products and some times it happens in relisting or listings but that doesnot mean in any sense that you be after genuine seller by picking up this small points and start giving warnings

It looks like the ebay team instead of helping is interested in completing target of three warning may be they are very active in finding small points and mistakes of genuine sellers and to compete the target of giving 3+ as fast as possible because the speed at which a seller receives the warnings one after another is interesting.

EBay team is really interested in giving warnings and remove you power seller status no matter what ratings you have, if you ask them the reason they will say we will find out from the concerned department and any thing else is not in our hand

What is this? Why in Baazee we never used to receive any warnings? we are the same sellers, we are the sellers with +250 and -2 ratings

I think instead of wasting time in finding small points and giving warnings ebay team should concentrate in how to increase sales and business here what they doing they are disturbing the genuine sellers by diverting there mind in such ridiculous issues of removal of status and listings etc

I think this is really high time as the amount of efforts we putting in we not getting the returns as before we loosing many international buyer because of their interest in buying from power sellers only we loosing business for no reason.

It is really sad that ebay.in is cutting the tree of good and genuine sellers with its own hands.

I completely agree to everything u have said.
Its very difficult to live in shadow of fear...we dont know for what mistake( intentionally/unintentionally) hammer of ebay will fall on our head someday....

I totally agree with you that genuine sellers will not violate policies knowingly. Also, with large number of listings to handle, it is not impossible to violate a policy by mistake. I agree with you that eBay does have lot of policies; however, the reason behind having such policies is to keep the marketplace healthy, and provide a safe trading environment for both buyers and sellers. While browsing through discussion boards, you would have yourself seen the necessity of building trust among the community, which we believe can be done by policies and their enforcement.

Having said the above, the intention of policies is not to harass genuine sellers, but to keep out the bad apples. It is not in eBay’s interest to disturb our genuine sellers. Taking into account your feedback, and feedback from other users, we have recently made some changes in the policy enforcement, and have come up with updated version of policies and consequences guidelines. The focus of the new policies and guidelines are:

--Making policies easy to understand – clearly written policies along with examples for easy understanding
--Educating members about policies – online tutorial for policies that will help a user to understand policies better.
--Enforcing policy violation consequences and mitigation – Ensuring that a user is aware of the policy he might be violating, and penalising the users who violate polices repeatedly
--Making it easy to detect policy violations – Introduction of report this item link in item page to facilitate easy reporting of violations.
