Dear EBay Members,

I request Members after reading this, pls feel free to "Post a Reply" to
this thread.

Brief story:

Supplementary link:
http://www.hublicity.com/ebay/

I've listed a item (Used Mobile) with reserve price BID (Item ID:9137109142),got
a good response, bid met my reserve price, requested a Bid winner(doctorpramod)
to Pay for the same (local buyer, just 25KM away), got the payment, I personally
Delivered the ITEM to buyer's said Address & showed that ITEM is up to the mark
& is in excellent Working Condition & took a statement in his(receiver) OWN
Handwriting saying that "I received the ITEM in Good &
Working Condition
" along with his Signature
(look it here:
http://www.hublicity.com/ebay/
).

In the evening, I received a call from Buyer saying that HE PLACED AN BID FOR A
BRAND-NEW MOBILE & NOT FOR A USED ONE!!!!?????

Then I Requested him to logon to EBAY.IN & enter the item ID to get the ITEM's
page & go through it. But he has not ready to listen!!! Forcing me exchange the
same with Brand-New Handset. Item page:

http://cgi.ebay.in/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=9137109142&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESO%3AIT&rd=1

Then again after an hour he called me up & started that supplied mobile doesn't
work & its not accepting any SIM Card. Then I suggested him to come to my place
tomorrow (local buyer, just 25KM away) & I'll show you how to insert the SIM
card & power on the set.

You know what happened NEXT? Instead of coming to my Place, He leaved a NEGATIVE
feedback for me saying that: "PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS SELLER, HAVE BEEN
CHEATED, RECVD VERY OLD SET".

Without any FAULT i got an NEGATIVE feedback!!?? WHAT SHOULD I SUPPOSED TO DO?

Then I searched the ebay site for FEEDBACK removal policy. & got a link. I wrote
a whole story Regarding the FEEDBACK Removal alongwith all proofs I have & sent
to ebay.

Next day I got a reply from ebay saying that: Its not possible to investigate
the all transactions & its not possible to remove the feedback you got.!!?? &
suggested me to mutually withdraw the feedbacks.

I request all readers to please go through supplementary link:

http://www.hublicity.com/ebay
which is got all proofs.

This May happen to you also. But I pray to GOD that "Never happen like this
to any sellers
".

I appreciate your thoughts regarding the issue & request to reply to this
thread.

Anybody knows, how to get rid of this kind of NEGATIVE Feedbacks?

With Thanks & Regards,

Kiran Siddhanti

Hi Umang,
Thanks for reply.
Policy Page: http://pages.ebay.in/help/policies/defamation.html
In the dispute resolution "Defamation Claims" policy they have clearly mentioned that:
"We will investigate your claim and notify you of whether we will remove the identified content. Please note that if the objectionable content appears in a feedback comment, we may remove only the comment portion of the feedback, not the actual rating (negative, neutral, positive)".

Means Still they will not remove my NEGATIVE feedback!

Kiran

Hello Kiran,

Just read it carefully....

eBay will withdraw the feedback rating if provided with a ruling or settlement agreement from an eBay-approved certified dispute resolution service or a settlement resolving a lawsuit. Such a ruling may be issued if the feedback recipient initiated a dispute resolution process and the member who left the feedback did not respond to the request for mediation or if the dispute resolution service confirms that both members agreed to have the feedback withdrawn.

Just try it.... it might work for you.

Hi Umang,

I'm totally new to selling on ebay. So I don't know how & where to approach "eBay-approved certified dispute resolution service or a settlement resolving a lawsuit".

Can you please help me by providing the exact link or url so that I can take my first move.

Regards,
Kiran

Hi,

Check the below link on Resolving Feedback Disputes
http://pages.ebay.in/help/feedback/feedback-disputes.html

There are few ways to remove the feedback. If you think the buyer is misguiding you and telling lies about the product then leave the Negative Feedback with the words which has happened.

Also contact your buyer and convince to get him to mutually withdrawn. Show him that you have stated the Mobile as Used before he made a purchase.

Solving mutually is the one of the best way.

Report to eBay if the buyer is misguiding you though he has got the product in satisafactory condition. ---------------

No way you/E-Bay can remove the feedback until and unless the dispute is resolved between you and the customer.

E-Bay remove if the feedback words contains any violation like voulgar words.

So, better not to take a risk in ebay selling second hand things, even if you are selling in the first line put it is second hand mobile. Explain the risk in the description.

For second hand things giving warrenty for 3 months may be fair enough, and clearly mention the transportion should be done by customer.

Other wise you will be wasting lot of time fixing his problem for a small profit.

According to me selling electronics goods not profitable in e-bay. First place is the investment and second place is the risk involved in service after sale.

If you really phycically have a shop in town, you can try along with e-bay.

People selling from home is not adviceable to enter this market, until you sell a genene new product with proper company warrenty.

Most of the time, after receiving the warrenty card from seller, it is buyers responsibility to bring the item to the company service center for any fault or sercive. This kind of seller strict policy in the description can save them from risk.

E-Bay only protects buyers, not sellers basically !!!
