CRF is unfair & non-transparent

Hi,

Recently we filed an appeal in CRF for a negative feedback received. The buyer left a -ve feedback on the grounds that a different model was shipped. Below is the item link:

http://cgi.ebay.in/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200622535230

We have shown 3 models in our listing & clearly mentioned that anyone of the 3 models will be shipped. The 2nd model with a blue slider was shipped. Then why is the buyer complaining. Moreover the CRF has decided in favor of buyer. There are some basic questions which have been asked earlier as well:

1. Who is on the jury of CRF. We do not expect ebay to disclose names or ids but at least share the ratio of buyers vs sellers vs ebay staff.

2. In the final verdict email from CRF it should state how many votes were received for seller vs buyer.

3. If something is mentioned in the description & the buyer still ignores it & takes the whole feedback system for a ride, there is should be a clause in the feedback removal policy to get these types of feedbacks removed.

As a seller where were we wrong? But the buyer has taken the complete feedback system for a ride. Now we sit here helplessly & can do nothing about it. This was the only low DSR received in last 3 months. The earlier appeal system was better. Right now we feel it is a time waste to appeal on CRF.

Manish

There is one and only problem which is happening on ebay and that is FREE GIFT NOT RECEIVED, Sellers issues are not important. ebay pinks have time to reply to free gift buyers and coupon buyers only, sellers who have been on ebay for 5-10-12 years do not matter.

The image below will prove my point. Out of 9 topics 7 are free gift issues, sad state of affairs at ebay, even ebay US is surprisingly !!! keeping quiet,

Dear Members,

Without going in to the details would like to assure you that CRF Jury compromises a good mix of Buyer & Sellers. From Seller perspective we have considered those sellers who have themselves displayed a great shopping experience to our buyers while those buyers are considered to be part of Jury who have regularly transacted on site. This ensure we have fair jury in place who are aware about eBay and its ecosystem

On Feedback removal policy front, we have modified the policy to cover new criterias under which feedback can be modified. To view the feedback removal policy pls click here: http://pages.ebay.in/help/policies/feedback-abuse-withdrawal.html

Additionally, for instances where you feel the feedback received is unjust but does not classify to be removed under eBay feedback removal policy, you can write in to TnS post which the TnS can review the same for feedback removal

seema mentions that

Additionally, for instances where you feel the feedback received is unjust but does not classify to be removed under eBay feedback removal policy, you can write in to TnS post which the TnS can review the same for feedback removal

for this i have lots of time mailed to the ebay team regarding some of the negative feedbacks received but the only reply i received was

"Thank you for writing to eBay's Trust and Safety Team. My name is Tarik.
I appreciate the opportunity to assist you further with your concern.

We understand your concern in this situation and have reviewed the
feedback comment in question. Unfortunately, we found that the comment
that was left does not meet the requirements for removal as outlined in
our feedback removal policy found at:

http://pages.ebay.in/help/policies/feedback-abuse-withdrawal.html

However ask you buyer to leave a positive follow up or else the buyer
himself write us a mail from his registered e-mail id for the removal of
feedback from your account.

Unless the feedback meets this policy, regrettably, we cannot remove it.

Due to the fact that there are few instances where we are able to remove
feedback, we try to encourage all members to use caution in posting
feedback. Unfortunately, good members can sometimes still end up
receiving feedback they feel is inappropriate or unfair. However, unless
the feedback meets the removal policy guidelines regrettably it cannot
be removed.

We wish that in cases such as yours we could bend the rules. However,
this is one area where we must be rather stringent. This is because of
the liability posed to us should we vary from this policy.

Please review the information found in our feedback removal policy at
the page listed above. Hopefully, after doing so, you can see how our
hands are bound in this situation.

I trust the information provided is useful. Do let us know, if you have
any questions,

they have only one pre edited reply which they send in for all the request and donot even bohter to understand the problem personally

@Seema.....

What happens in cases where the buyer files "Guarantee claim" with ebay and looses the case and give negative or neutral out of spite.
What is the seller supposed to do in such cases.

I strongly feel that some buyer rules also should be implemented on ebay.
Now a buyer is a BULL IN A CHINA SHOP, no one has any control over him, if he is blocked by ebay he opens another id and continues from where he left off.

It is high time that ebay has a few buying rules mandatory for buyers also such as:

1. It should be made compulsory for the buyer to READ THE FULL LISTING and if any appeal is made towards the listing wording then it should be rejected. No Neutral or Negative FB should be allowed in the above cases.

2. If the buyers payment is refunded, the transaction should stand cancelled and no feedback should be allowed.

3. In case a buyer has any issues with the product or service and decides to give Negative or Neutral feedback then a "contact the seller first" option via resolution center messaging should be made mandatory for the buyer and a time frame of 5 days should be given to seller to sort out the issue BEFORE THE BUYER CAN FIRE OFF A NEUTRAL OR NEGATIVE FEEDBACK. This is a major bone of contention as of today on ebay. Buyers are very self centered and selfish, they will not mark item received, not give positive feedback but are very quick to file cases or give adverse ratings. This scenario can be prevented by having this step.

5. NEW Buyer with a feedback score of 25 or less should not be permitted to leave feedback at all.

As for CRF, I can only say that either stop CRF completely or make it fair and transparent as it was earlier. You can see by the number of cases filed that most sellers have stopped filing cases in CRF, there is no point in wasting time when the result is known even before the verdict..............

Hello,

Please check one more e.g where buyer left unfair negative and no one is able to help out the seller. Trust and Safety is also fake. Really now its hike. I think I have to stop selling on eBay.

Hello,

Thank you for writing to eBay. My name is Ashok and I understand that
you want the negative feedback left by "sdos6779" be removed.

We understand your concern in this situation and have reviewed the
feedback comment in question. Unfortunately we found that the comment
that was left does not meet the requirements for removal as outlined in
our feedback removal policy found at:

http://pages.ebay.in/help/policies/feedback-abuse-withdrawal.html

Unless the feedback meets this policy, regrettably, we cannot remove it.

We would request you to contact the buyer resolve the issues with
him/her, once the issue gets resolved inform the buyer to write a mail
on inrswebhelp@ebay.com, for us to be able to remove neutral feedback
from your account, other wise you can also request the buyer to leave a
positive follow up comment for the same feedback.

Best Wishes,

Dear eBay,

My name is Vilas Tarake holding a seller account with you. My seller
id is rhtdm.6624. Regarding this account I want to speak to you. We
have listed one product under Daily Deals whos Item number is
390340202143 & Title is "►CITIZEN CT512 DUAL POWER 12 DIGIT BUSINESS
CALCULATOR►". We have clearly mentioned under that we will not offer
VAT paid bill with the product which is mentioned in Octroi & Bill
section in product discription page.

One of buyer whose ID is sdos6779. He has purchased this product &
left negative stating that "am very disappointed with your
product.....its not orignal" whereas he got same as per discription.
When we called him exactly what is the issue then he said that you
haven't given VAT bill whereas in discription we clearly mentioned
that we will not offer bill but not VAT paid. If everything is clearly
mentioned in discription then why seller should suffer from unfair
negative? Even we informed buyer if you not want then keep that with
you. We will offer you full refund. Buyer said that I will not remove
negative. That means he is doing intentionally.

I had raised appeal in CRF to remove this negative. In CRF buyer
clearly replied this thing that " He received same product as per
discription but not VAT paid bill. Whereas discription clearly shows
what seller mentioned about bill. Still CRF members on whose we trust
they voated against us. They supported buyer who left unfair negative.
We have lost our trust on CRF members.

Now, Trust & Safety team is last hope who will assist us in removing
this unfair negative. I am sure you have access to CRF you can check
the complete case & help us to remove this unfair negative which we
received after mentioning everything clearly in discription.

Thanks
Vilas

This is email response from trust and safety team. Everyone on eBay behave like G*A*Y.

If buyers are doing wrong then also they simply says we are not able to do anything.

Really its shameful.

thanks
Vilas

I surely agree with all the above co-sellers.

CRF is buyer centric and the decisions made my them are sometimes weird.
