What makes a successful eBay listing? What is the formula to have your product come up with more buyer searches? 

 

Aren’t these just some of the questions that come to your mind when you think of listing on eBay? By taking care of few basics, you can be confident that your listing will lead to a great experience for you and your buyer. Here are some of the recommended listing best practices:

 

DO’S:

  1. Choose the right category making sure your buyer can find your items
  2. Clearly define title of your item (up to 60-80 characters) 
  3. Upload minimum 3 images of your item - professional and clutter free with white background
  4. Watch out your competition and determine item price accordingly
  5. Provide recommended Item Specifics as many as possible  
  6. Add Variations to your listings, wherever applicable
  7. Specify appropriate Handling time and Shipping Services
  8. Offer a fair Returns policy

DON’TS:

  1. List items which are not in stock with you
  2. Include keywords in the title that have no relevance to the product
  3. Copy/use reference images
  4. Write false information of the product
  5. Misrepresent the item location 
  6. Exceed the specified shipping and handling time
  7. List items that are violating eBay Policies
  8. Put third party links in your listing
