Guys!
I'm in the same boat. From last week of november, ALL my payments went on HOLD (around 40k). Reason? Periodical Review.
I sold a camera to a gentleman and he personally visited to collect the same and therefore I've no POD. He has already left a wonderful feedback for me but that doesn't matter to EBAY. They say they want a confirmation email from Buyer's registered ID.
The most frustrating part has been the fact that EBAY wants ME (the seller) to guide the buyer to update ebay. I mean, why is it a seller’s job?
If the buyer is a bit novice, the SELLER has to kind of SPOON-FEED the whole process to the buyer. And even after doing all that, if the buyer makes a single mistake, all the email and phone communication process eats up more then 10 to 15 days, you know. And oh, what about all the humiliation to keep requesting the buyer to update EBay as you're on their mercy, at this point in time?
After all, when the sellers payments are blocked, he sure will run around where ever you tell him to, right?
After over 30 days of communication, today I understand that the Buyer has to:
Logging into his account and then use
Help > Contact Us
to send the email to eBay, any other way is not acceptable.
And all this is my job to first understand and then run behind the buyer to make him do it, and only after which the 'REVIEW' process can START!
I think having a common platform, something like Dispute Console, for the REVIEW process would make so much more sense. But who knows, what the Grand Daddy is thinking?!
