Dear Users,

Recently we have been receiving lot of issues and queries regarding PaisaPay from our community members. On behalf of the PaisaPay team I will like to provide some clarifications:

Paisa Pay Payments showing Pending Status: We are having some difficulty with HDFC payments, which is why they are showing in pending status. We are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, and will keep the community updated on any developments.

PaisaPay Logo not showing: In the new Sell Form, the sellers have the option of choosing the listings in which he wants to offer PaisaPay. If you are not able to see PaisaPay logo in some of your listings, then probably you have not tick marked that option while filling up your sell form. We will request you to check this on your listings, and if still there are problems, please let us know with the relevant details, so that we can investigate the problem further. To contact the Customer Helpdesk, please visit:
http://pages.ebay.in/help/contact_inline/index.html

PaisaPay Support Contact: To contact PaisaPay support the users can use the PaisaPay link in the Contact Us Wizard.
In Top Box, you will need to select "Ask about Bidding and Buying", in 2nd Box, the 7th item is PaisaPay, and in the 3rd Box you can choose the relevant problem.

Payments Cycle of PaisaPay: For all, the Baazee related transactions, the Payments cycle will be of 15 days. However, for all eBay related transactions, the Payments cycle will be of 7 days.

Safety with Paisapay: PaisaPay uses payment gateway provided by leading banks like ICICI, HDFC, Citibank, etc, which offers most secure internet banking mechanism. In addition we also have Verisign 128 bit encryption, which ensures that all your sensitive information is encrypted. Regarding Faxing your Credit Card Details to PaisaPay, we will like to clarify, that all Faxes come to a secure server, and only authorized eBay employees have access to them.

Warm Regards

Dear Kokanmart,

Like I wrote in my posting #8 about international payments, www.cash2india.com works fine (as I found out today, they want a fax for really high-value transfers, too, and believe this could prevent fraud, but at least they ask not for _such_ risky data as Paisapay does - I wrote them an email to tell them what I think about faxes, but I suppose they will insist on it). I have seen good feedback about www.bidpay.com and www.moneybookers.com too, but never used them myself.

I dont know if this services would work for payments from India to India and if they do, if the transfer charges would not be too expensive compared to cheques or bank-to-bank transfers.

tsange

Sapna,

With respect to what you said: "We are having some difficulty with HDFC payments, which is why they are showing in pending status. We are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, and will keep the community updated on any developments."

I would like to know the ramifications of this. Does this mean that I will have to wait till this issue is solved before I get my product? I expect an online banking transaction to be a simple, quick and painless process. Please do sanction this purchase at the earliest as the money has been removed from my account, and I urgently need the product that I have purchased.

I made a purchase from eBay on April 7th. I see that this message (regarding HDFC problems) has been posted on April 1st. So, if you knew that you were having problems with the HDFC payments, why did you offer this as a payment option? The logical answer to this would be the fact that you might have solved the problem. Which I am hesitant to believe as my payment status still shows up as "pending".

Please understand that this delay does not reflect well on eBay, or its public standing. I have purchased lots of items from other B2C websites using Online Bank Transfer and the turnaround time for transaction approval has been a mere ten minutes, if not less. Example of this would be the online train ticket purchasing system, or any online bill payment system.

You website recommends "PaisaPay - Online Bank Transfer" as it is a fast, easy and secure way to accept payments. I strongly disagree against the "fast" part. As a general concept, yes, its true. But when it comes to eBay, its painfully slow. And I would strongly recommend to everyone against using this method if purchasing products on eBay.

And please note that this was not an issue when the site used to be under Bazee. One would have expected things to have gotten more professional with the advent of eBay. Sadly, I regret to say that I am thoroughly disappointed with my experience with eBay,

Regards,
Mr. Thomas

Sapna,

Is the problem with HDFC online transfers resolved? I am a direct victim of this.

Let me know how many more days I have to wait to receive my product? I had such great experiences with Indian e-comm sites like rediff, indiatimes, erstwhile bazee etc. I am utterly disappointed with the way ebay is dealing with the customers. Let me tell you, the customer service of ebay.in sucks. You would find much better service in the Indian govt organizations. I am in great need of this product as I have planned for a trip and this item is an absolute necessity for me on this trip. I don't know how you would help me but I need this thing resolved asap. May be Rs.11K is a small amount for you guys but it is a damn big amount for me.

I made a purchase from eBay on April 7th. It is almost 4 days now and I am yet to receive any confirmations from you guys. I am worried about this and I need a prompt reply from you people. It is saddening to know that there is not even a single phone number listed anywhere in the site to which I can call to find out the status. How can you expect customers to send such lengthy mails everytime they face a problem?

As Mr.Thomas said, please understand that this delay does not reflect well on eBay, or its public standing. In this age of internet, the bad / good publicity passes much quicker than fire and I am sure you understand this.

Srikant

>HOW CAN I COAX THE BUYER TO CHANGE THE RATING???

Perhaps it would help if you invite him to read this thread (http://forums.ebay.in/thread.jspa?threadID=100000705&start=0) or this forum (http://forums.ebay.in/forum.jspa?forumID=300000004), so he could see that you are not the one who caused his problems?

PS: Your buyer will not be able to _change_ his rating, but only to comment it or to ask eBay to remove it.

Above is an email sent to me by Customer support team for the 4th time. They have not answered my question about the status of my purchase. They have absolutely no idea of what the customer is going through. Neither they are assuring that the product would be shipped. I guess the CEO should again be sent to jail for running this kind of busines. CRAP.. CRAP and more CRAP. That's what I describe ebay and its customer service as.

Hello guys,
time and again i'm seeing Mr Shrikant going thru literally what i call as 'mental torture'. The problem faced by by ruby_anand is an addition.

All this makes me VERY RELUCTANT to trade on eBay India. I was thinking of bringing some good product, but seems like i'll have to either wait for things to settle down, or take my product elsewhere.

How to have confidence nowadays is a BIG question.

Plz keep updating..

If you are facing problems with the Paisa Pay method, then why do you recommend it as a preferred method of payment for buying products on ebay? When it used to be Baazee, there was never any delay with Paisa Pay; why now?

You say you are working to resolve the issue "as soon as possible". This is NOT AT ALL ACCEPTABLE. There are several other Indian online shopping sites who provide much better service and don't have any problems with Paisa Pay.

You people are putting Internet technology to shame!

Russell.
