Hello,
I have received a call claiming to be sales and promotion department of ebay india. The person calling claimed i was one of the selected person in a lucky draw from ebay which was running on the day i purchased a product on ebay which was Jan 14,2018. He had all the information like order number, product ordered, date of order, mode of payment, my phone number, address etc. He claimed that if i purchase any product worth more than Rs 4000 i will get a free gift from the ebay free of cost. One of the gift was a dell laptop. He said the order must be placed from his side as he had to add the free gift from his side, Since he had all the correct details i followed and gave him all the details. I chose a moto g3 product for the purchase and i was debited rs 4999.
I checked the ebay site and it shows no such order in my account. I contacted the support and the agents there were not able to help me.
So whats going on.
