How to send used goods

Hi,

I am a seller with eBay, but I have sold only couple of items through this site. I have few questions that the seniors can answer and help me.

1) I sell only used goods (used by me) ?
2) Can a individual (I dont have any sales tax number) issue an invoice ?
3) I have sold an item recently and the buyer wants me to pay octroi before delivering it to him. Do I have to pay octroi for used items ?
4) Will there be any problem me selling the used goods without salestax number ? Do I have to pay salestax for used goods ?
5) Will the courier company pay octroi and deliver the goods to the buyer ?
6) Which courier company accepts used items ?

Please clarify the above questions at the earliest.

1) Sure you can issue an invoice withour sales tax numbers.

2) It depends on your terms of sale. If you have mentioned octroi to be payable by buyer, than it is buyers responsibility to pay octoi. If you have listed inclusive of all taxes and duties, than you have to pay octroi.

3)Used personal goods do not incurr sales tax / vat.

4) Most, if not all courier companies will pay octroi can collect it from the buyer. If you have a credit account with the courier company, they will collect octroi from you on request.

5) All courier companies accept used items.

2)Why would you issue an invoice for a used item. Not required.

3)Check up with the courier company whether you have to pay octroi or not. I have sold goods to most parts of India but never paid octroi.

4)You don't have to pay sales tax for used items.
