Hi all..

I am based in Chennai and would apptreciate experienced members or eBay to help me sort out following issues :

1. How to source items to sell. If there are regular suppliers for this purpose, then their contacts, list etc.
2. List of shippers,couriers who are conversant with this work and reliable.
3. List of packers or people who provide breakproof packing for this purpose.

Hello,

There are no regular Suppilers.
Sourcing quality Items at competative price is the key to sucess.
You will have to source Items your self through your contacts or from nearby whole sale market.

There are many shippers like Blazeflash Courier popular in northern India, Professional & DTDC Couriers popular in Southern India. Also you have Overnite Courier, First flight Couriers, Blue Dart Courier.

You will have to negotiate rates with one of them.

Glass & other breakable material are normally not allowed by Courier campanies. But if you are confident with your packing you may courier those. But no Courier company would take the responsibility.

Further, you will have to find packers in your area who specialise in packing breakable goods.

Hi,

Respected members have given you some good suggestions to start selling. Just want to add that DTDC is also very strong in Kolkata & West Bengal.
You can also do the reverse also:-), i.e., buy thru ebay and sale those in your locality / circle. Many products are available in ebay at almost retail prices. For many items, with modest profit, your sale price will be lower than the best price in your locality.

Hi,

DTDC Courier is really strong in South India and its cheap.

Just bargain the rates and tell them about the online buisness you will get reduction.

I don't belive Professional Couriers (as I got cheated twice). ---------------
