How many days for Paypal check to reach India?

Hi,

How many days does it take for a check from Paypal to reach India (Bangalore)? It is 17 days since Paypal issued a check to me, and I haven't got it yet. I am worried 😞

Reason why I opted for check is, twice my Bank (Canara bank) cancelled the transfer of funds from paypal to bank account.

I am facing an exactly similiar problem. I am from Kolkata. I also withdrew via bank transfer first, then it got returned and i lost around $15 for that! Then i lost some more due to fall in $ price. In all i lost around Rs 1.5k in total for this failed bank transfer! And yes mine is also Canara Bank!! Finally i requested a check which got issued on 28th May 2009. But i haven't recieved it yet! But i am not worried because it may take around 30-45 days in worst case scenario!

I got my check on May 30th 🙂

Though my Paypal account said the check was issued on the 12th May, the post mark on the envelope was 18th. So, its taken the check 12 days to reach here.

The problem is with Canara Bank. I can't even recieve local money transfers. After many, many visits and phone calls to my branch manager, I have given up and opened an account with Axis bank. Hopefully, this will work.

Its good to hear u recieved ur check! I think the reason for failure for online withdrawal is that we didnot have 3rd party online transactions allowed in our account! One has to apply for it separately. And the local transfers (i.e. one Canara bank a/c to another Canara bank a/c) works fine if one uses core banking, if have to put in your 13 digit bank account to do core banking electronically. And by the way how much did u loose in total for your withdrawal failure twice?

Hey i got my Paypal check today, exactly in 3 weeks after the check was issued! By the way did you ask your Canara Bank manager about that 3rd party bank transfer? Is it free? How can one apply for it? Do we need to have internet banking activated in our account for that?

Hi folks,

HDFC Bank or ICICI Bank accounts receive the transfer from PayPal within 3-5 days without any problem. Just provide them correct account number and IFSC Code of your account. No need of third part tranfer.

I have withdrawn through funds transfer to my Canara Bank and ICICI Bank accounts many times. I haven't found any problems of returned.

You need to mention the correct IFSC Code for the same. ---------------

Please tell me the exact details on how did u manage to do that with ur canara bank account? did u enable anything? I had provided the correct IFSC code, and then my bank manager told me to provide the 13 digit bank account (the one used for core banking) so i provided the 13digit bank account instead of 5 digit. Did i do something wrong? One more thing mine is a joint account so my manager told me to mention the first person's name, and i did that only! Did u mention the prefix "Sri" before ur name? i omitted that!
