Dear Community Members,

Starting from the 3rd of June, eBay staff across several departments will be spending time on the boards on a regular basis, replying to posts made on the various discussion boards. This is your chance to interact online with eBay India staff, and share your opinions with us. You can discuss anything you feel like with us. We will be glad to chat with you.

How can I identify posts made by eBay staff?
To find the discussions that staff are taking part in, look for the little "eBay" icon next to a topic title.
In additon, posts made by eBay staff will have their user Ids highlighted in pink. Only eBay staff Ids get the pink highlight. In fact, in the global eBay community, staff who post on the boards are called 'Pinks'!

When can I catch a 'Pink' on the India boards?
Check the boards regularly to find out when a eBay staff member is online! Yes, there is no fixed time during which the staff will be online. Staff members (Pinks) who are on the boards will make posts on the various discussion boards. If you are online at that time, you can reply to those posts, and the staff member will engage in a discussion with you.
Hint: The staff members will be online anytime between 10 AM and 7 PM, Mondays through Fridays.

To get to the discussion boards, click "Community" at the top of any eBay page, then click on any of the Discussion Boards.

We look forward to seeing you on the boards!

Dear Madam,

[THE VENTURE IS FOR eBay USA SITE]

1. Despite heavy schedule, on the very outset I would like to thank eBay to provide such novel opportunity to interact almost directly with their customers and feel them 'special' with eBay.However minus business it is not possible!!! Please refer my previously allotted item No 7324309420 pertaining to the sale proceed of 'carved wooden bookshelf in Kashmiri Style'.

2. While re-listing the same item, I have noticed that this item of mine has now been re-listed in following two different categories and item Nos:- 7326642389, 7326620820. [In fact, the re-listing was made at two places considering that the previous one would be superseded, where as your e-Mail not only confirms both re-listing however, it has asked for fees which 'seller has to pay out of their nose', this disappoints to go for indulging into serious business and obviously curbs the style / curtails further learning as a beginner (as a seller)].In fact this should have been pointed out there and then only.(as while operating on yahoo if you delete all messages, a warning window is displayed and many such cautionary windows are shown on various sites-hence why not on eBay)?

3. This much I can understand that it increases the probability for seller for successful disposal of that item, however, in 'My eBay' profile under listed quantity column, item Nos 7326642389,7326620820 is required to be shown as one and NOT two. Please NOTE it is one and the same item. Also it is required to be re-linked for each others page of listing. Please elucidate.

General Query
Q1. How many times I can re-list this one and same item(Bookshelf)?

Q2. Please explain the fee charging and concession thereon if the allocated slot of last day that is 08 Jun2005 and even after successive re-listings if allowed does not dispose off item.

Q3. While going through the buyer's guideline, your official web site suggests not to bid for any seller who is asking cash!!! As seller what is the best method of asking payment?

Q4. Similarly for shipping, how antique items are sent all over the world through your aegis?

Q5. How 'old coins' are sold and then sent to the desired persons (buyers) all over the world, through your aegis? I mean, plenty of them used to be minted on gold/silver metal as well.

Q6. Therefore, what all types of clearance through Govt/Archaeological Survey or so on so forth is required? Or simply I just dispatch them in shipping after asuccessful bid is put and money is paid. Especially fot this what all support eBay provides?

Q7. How do you expect me to put my mother's old paints and hand craft works for auction-I mean which site should fetch the rich dividend that is USA/UK/European or simply worldwide?

With Warm Regards,
Yours Sincerely,

viru bhatia

1. Ok break above posted messages into fractions and intimate as how many messages it is equivalent to. Again same communication and understandings problem- above message of mine is should be as good as equivalent to ten, in fact I thought I am over shooting the space.

2. Nevertheless thanks for "such small mercies to provide enough space" at least here you are rather generous!
With Warm Regards,
Yours Sincerely,

Dear virmohishma8888,

To answer your queries,
1) On the Relist part, i am not very clear as to what exactly happened. Listing in 2 Categories is chargeable when you use any kind of Enhanced Listings. You can relist your items as many a times you want to until it sells successfully. There are no charges for listing or relisting your items on Ebay.in

2)The Best Payment Method as a seller would definately be Paisapay -i.e. Online Credit Card Payments or Bank Transfers. To know more about Paisapay, please check the following link http://pages.ebay.in/help/community/paisapay.html
Alternatively, you can also offer Cheque/Demand Draft as payment methods whereby you dispatch the product only after the payment has been cleared.

3)You seem to be interested in International Selling. The best to know more about International Process, please attend the International selling Workshop on 17th June at 12 pm. For your Reference, you can click directly on this link http://forums.ebay.in/thread.jspa?threadID=100001161

4) You can list your painting wordwide for better exposure. Antique items and Paintings have better chance of selling on ebay.com or ebay.uk and hence you may like to list directly on these websites

Trust this answers most of your queries. Please feel free for any more queries.

Thanks
Tanya
