An Ebay seller had lIsted Adobe CS6 Master Collection DVD - Full version box for Rs 57000. After speaking to the seller and confirmation by him that he is authorised to sell it, I purchased the item and paid Rs 57000 on August 10, 2015.
When the package was delivered to me, I found that it did not look new. There was no invoice from the reseller. (only the Ebay order details was there). When I contacted the seller, I was assured that it was an unopened pack. I did not use it immediately because my computer was giving some problems and I was planning to buy a new machine.
Last month, I opened the pack and tried to install on my new Mac machine. Then I found it was Student Edition. Though I was disappointed, it did not matter as I am a teacher and eligible to use Student Editions. But what happened next totally surprised and dismayed me. When I tried to register it, the message was that copy was already registered and unless I can provide the original eMail id from which the request for Serial Number was sent, this copy cannot be used. ALSO ADOBE SAID IT COULD NOT SUPPORT ANY PRODUCT BOUGHT FROM EBAY AND THAT IT WAS THE RESEELER'S RESPONSIBILTY TO ESTABLISH CONTACT ADOBE, PROVE THAT HE IS AUTHORISED AND PROVIDE SU[PPORT.
EBay's customer support gave me the contact details of the seller. I called him, his first response was "you should not have told Adobe, that you bought this in Ebay". Then he added :"in any case you should have tried to register it immediately'. I got it as a gift. Let me see what I can do". There was no further information from him. After that he refuses to come on line and does not answer any of my mails.
Obviously they was not authorised to sell it. It was used a copy just picked up by the seller. Is there some way Ebay can check the veracity of such transactions ?
This means I bought a product for Rs 57000, which cannot be used at all. I bought it only because I trusted Ebay. Whether a solution is found for this or not, I certainly do not want others to be cheated like this.

First you have to understand that ,what seller provides you, Is he provides seller warranty or manufacturer warranty. if not provide manufacture warrenty , it means it may possiblee its not original product and if he provide manufacture warrenty you must register that product asap. if its unable to register on adobe website, open claim as fake.
But what mistake you have done, you buy this product and not opened it and when you open it after a month when the eBay's production time already end and so after that time seller is safe.
but I do not understand if you buying a software why you need to buy it from eBay like websites or any other eCommerce like websites, because these websites there is some possibility of software may be genuine or not , I don't understand why people not directly buy on Adobe websites or Adobe India website.
