How to get along an exploiting ebay seller charging 100%+ repair price outside warranty!

Hello there!

Sorry for the lengthy post, but I seek serious advice for fair after-sales service for an outside warranty product - something for which I am ready to pay but heftily charged and thus exploited.

To sum up, they are charging me 100+% cost of original purchase price for out-of-warranty repair, about the damage that I have no proof of, and no warranty how much the repair will last.

It's about Milagrow BlackCat Robotic Vacuum Cleaner (item # ***) which I purchased 2 years back through eBay (Order # ***) - from vendor called *** for purchase price of Rs 10190. I rarely used the product.

1) Within 1 year it stopped charging but due to I being outstation could not arrange for repair within warranty period - also because Milagrow has no service stations and they require consumers to ship their appliance to their New Delhi Center. When I was out of warranty, with Rs 500 service charge (beware!), It took me a month to get Fedex and Milagrow work together and ship the robot to their New Delhi service center where it is still lying unserviced.

2) They opened the device for service charge Rs 750.

3) After their inspection they found that both battery and PCBA was gone and repair quote was Rs 10500!

4) I was ready to replace battery (about Rs 5000 - 50% of the initial price) but they insist I need to pay them full Rs 10500 to repair entire product - more than the original purchase price!

5) Upon asking them what is the warranty of the repaired product, there is NO RESPONSE!

6) There is no PROOF of damage of PCBA since their repair center is only in New Delhi. PCBA is very internal part and can only be damaged by deliberate misuse. Their manual does not even mention what care to be taken to protect the PCBA. We have so many devices with PCBA but none of them damage in such short period of time.

7) Upon complaining they (shamelessly!) tried to sell me their newer product on 20% discount about the same price as available in the market - to which I politely declined.

😎 I even included their eBay representative (Ms Anku Sharma) and CEO (Mr Rajeev Karwaal) but got no response from anyone.

So this is clearly a fraudulent system to force consumer to pay for 100+% cost of the device whoever sends devices for repair. They have no repair outlets and there is virtually no other option to repair it elsewhere.

And even after repair at Rs 10500 (more than purchase price), there is no WRITTEN WARRANTY that product will last even for 1 month!

I don't know what all options I really have, but at the very least I want to enlighten all potential eBay customers of this fraudster appliance manufacturer.

eBay Feedback is very small space to cover it and I have no longer any access to that area after 2 years of purchase.

Please advise me how I can get my product repaired in fair price and / or take proper action on this manufacturer as soon as possible...
