I purchased 2 items from an ebay seller finestjewelery_co.
He asked me to deposit the abount of Rs 22709 ( Rs 15800 for the ring and Rs 6909 for a pendent ) in his ICICI bank account.
After that he delivered me the ring first which was not of the same paattern as shown on the photo. I contacted him and he asked me to return it to him.
He then sent he both items nearly 20days later, on receiving the items I spoke to him and told him that both the items were not as per the photograph on the auction and also the colour of the dimonds were different from each other. Mr Badresh Parikh of finestjewelery_co said I should return these to him and he would give me full refund. I have sent both the items back to him and he has confirmed receiving them.
When he did not return my money, I contacted him and was told that since he did not have net banking he could not deposit the money in my account and that I should give him my banking details again as he had misplaced the earlier details.
I resent him my account details but sill no money was deposited, On contacting him again he he said that since it was Diwali time he was very busy and that he would deposit the money with in a day or so. Diwali passed but still no money was deposited, There after on contacting him he said he was closed for Diwali and would definitely deposit the money by the 10th of nov.
I called him on the 16th of nov and he did not take my calls but sent me an SMS saying that he was in customs and would call me back ,which he never did ! On the 20th of Nov, again the same story, he did not accept my calls and sent me an SMS saying that he was driving and that the cheque for Rs 22709 was deposited in the bank by his person. After waiting for 5 days for the money to be received, I called him again on 26 nov, he again sent me an SMS saying he was unwell and the money will be deposited on the 27th nov.
Since he is not taking my calls since 27th of Nov, I contacted Ebay customer support and they have just washed their hands off this whole issue saying that since too much time has lapsed they can not take any action.
The seller is smart and he knew the loopholes. He knew that I can not take any action against him once the time lapses to make a complaint.
Why should there be a time limit for such actions?
If any seller of ebay does not return the money to the buyer, ebay must stand by the buyer till he does. WHY SHOULD THERE BE A TIME LIMIT TO REPORT A CASE?
Else the seller uses these loopholes and pockets the money and does not give the goods to the buyer.
ebay should do a background check of their sellers. they must be responsible for who uses their name to sell a product on their site.
The reason I purchased the 2 jewelery items from this seller was because he was on ebay, i could have gone to any other site a purchased the jewelery, but I did not. I went on ebay because I thought that they were an honorable company and would be fair in their dealings.
All I can say is that ebay India is a fraud lot and they are in connivance with these sellers.
I have purchased a number of items on ebay USA and ebay UK, and I have not had any problems with them.

Open an Item not received case and your case should be taken up by ebay again.

You have deposited amount by speaking with him and now you are asking to some other person for a solution. Its very bad. You believed on a seller and he also sent product to you. If you have any query its your work to contact seller only. I think he is right person to resolve the concern. We are not ~~

Do not teach such wrong things to do to buyer. Instead of this tell him to contact seller to resolve issue.
