i was surfing in leisure, and found a banknote seller who wrote that he is a retired man, and (read since he won't live many more years, lol) he is selling off all his personal collections, and that he is looking for friends on ebay, not profit:). i thought what a nice person, so checked his profile. to my surprise i found that he buys lots and lots of banknotes from foreign sellers. i had a few questions on my mind---a) why would someone buy tons of banknotes if he on the other hand is saying that he is selling off all his personal collections? b) most items he sell are low grade notes, and the same denom currency of the same country hundreds of times---which collector collects so many same notes of such grade? isn't that a dealer's way? c) if he isn't looking for profit, why is his shipping charge not just 39/40 rs for speedpost like that of many other sellers?
so i told a friend who collects currency, and he asked these questions to him. obviously he didn't reply:)
just wondering, thousands of sellers sell on ebay india--why does one have to be a retired person 'seeking friends only' to sell out his 'low grade joblot'? hehe. his id is some ***shop.
