Please share you experience with "Not received" or "Not as described" claim

I once had to file an "Item not received" claim because the seller stopped responding after he received my payment. It took a long time and a lot of patience, but eBay refunded my money.

That seller had cheated many other buyers (even in forums outside eBay) and eBay must have received a lot of complaints against him. His membership was also cancelled.

The point is : What about a lone buyer's claim against a seller who is still active, and has received many positive feedbacks ? Please share your experiences.

And what about "Item not as described" claims ? E.g., when a buyer actually receives the item, but it is defective, or clearly inferior to the one advertised ?

I have never had to file an "Item not as described" claim. But as a regular buyer at eBay, it is possible that it will happen some time in the future. I would like to hear about other buyers' experiences.

Hi,yeh this is a reply to ur question! Yes such things do happen on ebay. After wining the bid, I bought a jewellery item from an iternational seller, who has 99% positive feedbacks plus he is a powerseller. He had sky high demands, like i want my payment within 3 days or else the item will be relisted. I made a bank transfer of $860 to him within the given time. But even after a week my item wasnt dispatched. Also when i asked him whts the price tag of the item, is the item really priced so high at $34000?? And he says, "oh it isnt priced so much blah blah".Then too add to my woes, he says "I am not interested in making a sale here, cuz i hate dealing with indians". Imagine my position. i filied a claim with ebay and square trade. Now he is giving me a full refund. But see the amount of trouble i had to go thru here. And with tht racist remark, it was hell. And yeh guys lemme add the twist here, That guy himself is an indian. Wow i never heard of an indian insulting india, just becuz he lives in America. Wht do u have to say bout this??? Any comments??

Not all Indians living in western countries are like that. The mature ones accept that they are living in a different, more advanced society than their native India, and adjust themselves.

But there are many others there who have an inferiority complex, and try to compensate for it by pretending that they are Americans, British, etc by looking down on other Indians.

That type of Indian is hated or laughed at by natural citizens of those western countries. And they give all Indians bad name.
