Inconsistancy in USPS tracking

Hi,

I purchased a bunch of magnets some time ago for my son as a gift.
50 Pcs N42 3/8" Neodymium Sphere Ball Magnets 0.375"

The package was supposed to reach me from Aug 27th - Sept 2nd. I checked the stays on 27th and it says it is out of the Indian customs on 25th and I was supposed to get it on 27th and 28th.

Now when I checked the status again it says back in customs again.How on earth can this happen.

My son ordered a month ago and he got the package in 9 days.This time it has been more than 11 days.I do not understand is it a problem with the customs or the USPS website.

Some please advice.

USPS is not at fault. The item has undergone a second customs check. This is a strange thing.

It is possible that the item has undergone a second customs check in a different post office. If you are in a metro city, then your city also would have a customs office. The first customs clearance was in the port of arrival at India (it could be Mumbai most of the time). The second customs clearance is most probably in your own city. You should receive the item by Monday - 30th Aug

It is 31st today and I still did not get the package. I also tried called the local EMS speed post office but no one lifts. Some one should be responsible in giving a reply. Also sad thing is USPS tracking does not say which city in India it is..!
