what if seller not responding to mails regarding guarantee?

if a seller had sold an item with some guarantee for a certain time and the product has malfunctioned and i claim the gurantee and seller doesnt responds(a power seller)..what shd i do? whom shd i contact? it cost me rs 2800!! :_| plz help....
