So confused with "shipping", any help will be appreciated.

Hello,

I had my first sale "Organic Fertilizer" in eBay a couple of days ago. After making the first shipment with Rs.30 loss, i am so confused with shipping such heavy items.

My parcel will weigh >1.5 for 1kg pack, >2.5kg for 2kg pack and >3.5kg for a 3kg pack. I have been to the local courier service and they told me they will charge me Rs.80/Kg if it is with in any cosmopolitan city and if it is out side, the charge might still go higher.

Here is my questions:
1. Can any one suggest me the best possible shipping method for heavy items such as these?
2 Is there away to collect shipping charges after the item has been sold? I want to charge exact amount only after consulting the courier people.
3. Do you advice the second question?

Thank you and I appreciate your help.

Hi, You may try using surface mode provided your Courier Company is able to deliver within ebay specified timelines. There is a provision of sending a revised Invoice but while creating a listing you need to specify the shipping. Your second option is not possible so better would be to do your homework well.
