Sending Electronic items through Speed Post

Hello,

I need to know the procedure to send electronic items (mobile phones, bluetooth headsets) through India Post's EMS Speed Post Service. I spoke to the postmaster in my area, he mentioned that I would need to write a letter asking for permission and taking all responsibility for the transit of the package. Is that true? Has any one else had to submit such a document?

Most of the Speed Post offices in Bangalore has refused to take Electronic Items.

Don't send electronic items through Speed post. You won't get your item back.
