Im in the USA and would like to know what this Indian outfit would be called. It is two pieces, with the train attached to the skirt. It is heavely beaded.

Its a Lehnga choli FISH CUT dress ... With the blouse or top being longer length to cover the stomach ...

and the attached train is actually the dupatta or shawl as different people call it differently

Actually the outfit is not draped as it should be on the mannequin or else the look would have changed completely :)

Thanks so much for the informantion. The clothing boards in the USA were tellin me it was not Indian attire.

How would the veil be drapped?. I left it open so that you could see how it was made.

My Indian terminology is not great so is this still referred to as a Saree and are you telling me what each piece would be called individually?

Also, what occasion would something like this be worn? It looks hand made and heavily beaded.

Sari Saree question please

Hi naenae52

A warm welcome to the eBay.in community boards!

First of all this is not a Fish cut dress, seems to me a straight cut dress.
You can compare it with this dress which is actually a Fish cut lehnga, http://www.utsavsarees.com/pages/sarees-large.asp?icode=LDC8 .

Here are a few links which might help you in draping:

Hope this helps 🙂

Have a lovely day ahead.

Cheers
Meenu

hi naenae52
If you have allready bought this
well it does not matter if indian or amy other dress 🙂
if not bought this ... forget it as its quite old fashioned
Go for an automatic saree
Its the most sensual attire from india that you can own.
Or a lehnga choli

I just got it back from the cleaners. My drycleaners is owned and run by a very nice lady from India and she said that it was raw silk, beautifully beaded, very highend quality and worn for weddings and should bring very good Ebay results. It has not been listed yet. I did have it own the mannequin all wrong which is why there was dissagreement as to what it was called and what country.
