WHY DO I EXPERIENCE A SHARP DROP IN SALES SOMETIMES??

IS IT BECAUSE OF FAULTY CHECKOUT PROCESS CAUSED BY WEBSITE BUGS??
I JUST MOVED FROM STANDARD TO ABOVE STANDARD RECENTLY IN "SELLER PERFORMANCE STANDARDS", BUT I HAVENT NOTICED ANY CHANGE IN THE SEARCH STANDING OF MY ITEMS....

WHAT SHOULD I DO TO GET A BETTER SEARCH STANDING??

IAM thinking it's because of payment gateway issues??

because i myself experienced this when buying an item.

when i tried to purchase, it says the seller won't ship to your location and wouldn't take me to the checkout page.BUT IT IS WELL SERVICED BY ALL COUTIERS AND ITS A MAJOR CITY.
what i did was i bid and win it using eBay mobile. asked him an invoice with total amount, then paid.
NOW MY POINT IS NO BUYER WOULD BREAK HIS HEAD SO MUCH, AND SO HE WOULDN'T COMPLETE THE CHECKOUT AND THUS THE DROP IN SALES.

OR SOMETIMES THE CARDS WON'T WORK IN THE CHECKOUT PROCESS, I HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS MYSELF.
THEY WON'T WORK MOSTLY ON FRIDAYS BECAUSE OF SITE MAINTENANCE WORK!!
THIS IS SO RIDICULOUS.

Yes. My sales also drop drastically. usually there are 10 15 items a day before week, now it is only 2-3 items a day in this week.
