Custom Duty For Indians For Used Products !

Just purchased an iPod nano 3g, just wondering that will indian tax office put any custom duty on it as its a used item and custom duty for used item is 114% for indians !


this is bad because products of 6000 rupees and we will be charged 6000x114/100 = 6840+6000MRP = 12840 Rupees !

damn this sux ! any solutions ? are v really charged ?

Dear sir,

the Import duty is 12.5% , new or old ,

may be it will not cherged for personal import.

if it will be charged it will be 12.5% + your state tax charges.

be sure its for your personal use do not provide your company name or address on it.
