Hi

I was just goin through
this news about Paypal which I found very interesting so would like to share
with all of you :

which states :

PayPal to open
development centre in India

MUMBAI, Jan 11 (Reuters) -
PayPal, the world's most popular online payment system, is setting up a
development centre in India and plans to fill hundreds of technical positions,
it said on Thursday.

PayPal, a unit of online
marketplace eBay Inc. , is setting up the centre in the southern city of Chennai
and plans to hire hundreds of professionals for product development, software
engineering and other functions, it said in a statement.

It did not disclose financial
details.

My question is -- If
Paypal is about to setup it's development centre in India then will Indians be
able to deposit our paypal funds directly to our bank account ?? If
someone has idea about this then please let me know. How do u people used to
withdraw funds from your paypal account being in India ?? -- Check is a very
risky job I guess -- b'coz they used to send it with very ordinary mail ... Why
don't Paisa Pay give them tutions about how to send cheque. I am really confused
with this Paypal -- though I want to use it -- it is fine, excellent -- but poor
when it comes about withdrawing fund.

Hi,

What we infer from the article is that this is going to be a technical centre.

So basically for software and product development.

It may also be used for providing technical support (like emails)

So basically it's a BPO

Nothing has been mentioned about it being made a service available to eBay India. But perhaps this is the stepping stone...

Yes, We do agree that the least PayPal can do is send cheques by Registered AirMail. Even if they charge us $2 extra I am pretty sure everyone will pay. It is worth the peace of mind.

Paypal's Customer Care Calls Were Being Attended From DELHI ..... A Few Years Ago ... So Nothing New At Least
But Still Chennai And Singapore Seem To Be On the Radar Of World Class Companies
Good For INDIA
